National Order of Merit
Having been given this distinction twice by The French State, has been very important to me.
The Ordre National du Mérite is a French order with membership awarded by the President of the French Republic, founded on 3 December 1963 by the then President Charles de Gaulle.
The grade of Knight was awarded to me in 2006, and in 2019, I had the honour of being awarded the Officer’s grade. With this honour comes the obligation to always aim at the highest level and at the same time be a responsible and caring citizen. It helps me to remember to always go that extra mile, both professionally and personally.
To me, French culture and art are constant sources of inspiration, and I feel very privileged that my ongoing work has been noticed by the French State.
